DK-16: WHERE SINGLE GANG
MOUNTING IS PREFERRED
TECHNICAL DATA KEYPADS
CPU
For indoor applications which re-
quire the power and security of the DK-
26, but which are more suited to a single
gang plate to mount the keypad, the DK-
16 combines the pad of the DK-11 with the
separate CPU board of the DK-26. Opera-
tion is the same as with the DK-26.

a card and a PIN code. The Weigand version of the DK-11 (DK-11W) is
a one-piece, fully integrated unit. With the DK-26/16 keypad, an exter-
nal board is used to generate the Weigand data stream and it my be
purchased individually or together with the associated pad.

DK-11: SIMPLE YET POWERFUL
THE DK-11 is a one piece unit intended for lower security re-
quirements. It is furnished on a single gang brushed stainless steel
plate with retrofit backbox. The keypad provides true 10 digit opera-
tion and includes red and green signaling LED’s. The unit runs on 12 or
24 VDC power and control output is via an integral 5 Amp SPDT relay
for operating fail safe and fail secure locks. All wiring is to a terminal
strip found on the CPU board directly behind the plate. While primarily
intended for indoor operation, an optional rain cover allows reliable
use for exterior areas not exposed to direct rain. The pad itself is a U.S.
made, high-volume unit with engraved, paint-filled keys.
POWER AND FLEXIBILITY
The DK-11 accepts a program
code and 4 user codes from 2 to 7 digits
so that different user groups can have
their own code. Changing any user code
is easily done by entering the program
code (5 to 7 digits) first. Lock release time
is also programmed from the keypad from
1-99 seconds. Selectable toggle mode en-
ergizes the relay when a valid code is en-
tered and deenergizes it when a code is
entered again. The DK-11 also has a REX
(request to exit) input. This allows an ex-
ternal remote switch to trigger the unit just
as if a code was entered. All codes are
stored in non-volatile memory so that they
are retained in a power failure. Finally, an alarm function locks out the
keypad for 30 seconds after 16 wrong digits have been entered. The
DK-11 delivers amazing capability in a compact, inexpensive package.
The DK-11 and DK-16 keypads are provided
with both flush mount and surface mounted back boxes.
